Lambi is a coastal village on the northern coast of Guadalcanal, Solomon Islands, located west of Honiara along the shore of Ironbottom Sound. The area is known for its scenic coastline, coconut plantations, and World War II history. The village sits near the site of the Battle of Tassafaronga, a significant naval engagement fought offshore in November 1942. Lambi has a tropical climate with hot and humid conditions year-round and heavy rainfall from November to March. The surrounding waters are part of Ironbottom Sound, named for the many warships sunk during the Guadalcanal Campaign.

By Plane
The nearest airport is Honiara International Airport (IATA: HIR), about 25 km east. From Honiara, Lambi is reached by road via the Kukum Highway heading west along the Guadalcanal coast.
By Train
not relevant — there is no railway on Guadalcanal.
By Car / Road
From Honiara, follow the Kukum Highway west for approximately 25 km. The road is sealed but can be rough in sections. Local minibuses run along the coastal road from Honiara central market to villages west of the city. The drive takes about 30–40 minutes.
Lambi is a small village and is easily walkable. To explore the surrounding coastline, hiring a car or arranging a driver from Honiara is recommended. Local buses connect the coastal villages.
