Kabala

Northern, Sierra Leone

Why visit Kabala?

Kabala is a mountain town in the far north of Sierra Leone, situated in the Wara Wara Hills near the Guinean border. It is the main settlement in the northern highlands and a gateway for trekkers heading to the Loma Mountains and Mount Bintumani, the highest peak between Morocco and Cameroon.

The climate is cooler than the lowlands due to its elevation. The dry season from October to March is the best time for hiking and mountain travel.
