The closest international airport is Federico Fellini International Airport (IATA: RMI) in Rimini, Italy, located approximately 20 km northeast of Calligaria. A taxi from the airport takes about 25 minutes and costs between €45 and €60. For more flight options, Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (IATA: BLQ) is located 130 km away.
By Train
No rail lines exist inside San Marino. The nearest train station is Rimini Train Station in neighboring Italy. Frequent bus services connect Rimini to the capital of San Marino.
By Car / Road
Calligaria is best reached by private car. From the City of San Marino, it is approximately an 8.5 km drive east along the Strada di Faetano, taking around 12 to 15 minutes. It is just a short 2 km drive from the town center of Faetano. Public transportation directly to the hamlet is virtually non-existent, meaning a rental car or personal vehicle is essential for visiting.
Due to the tiny size of Calligaria, there are no internal transit systems, taxis, or shuttle services. The hamlet can easily be traversed on foot. For travel to other parts of the republic, a personal vehicle or pre-booked taxi is required.
