Federico Fellini International Airport (IATA: RMI) in Rimini, Italy, is the closest international airport, located about 20 km northeast of Valdragone. A taxi from the airport takes roughly 25 minutes and costs around €45–€60. Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (IATA: BLQ) is located 130 km away.
By Train
There are no railways in San Marino. The closest train station is Rimini Train Station in neighboring Italy. The daily Bonelli Bus (line 72) links Rimini to the nearby town of Borgo Maggiore, from where local taxis or short walks can reach Valdragone.
By Car / Road
Valdragone is easily reached via the main Superstrada (SS72) linking Rimini, Italy, to the capital of San Marino. From the City of San Marino, it is a short 4 km drive down the mountain (approx. 7 minutes). From the town center of Borgo Maggiore, it is a brief 2 km drive east. Public bus line 3 connects the capital to Valdragone.
Valdragone's streets are winding and moderately steep, making them best explored on foot or by private vehicle. There is no internal public transit system, but the local bus connects the hamlet to Borgo Maggiore and the capital. For easy exploration, a private car or rental vehicle is recommended.
