It serves as the home of the republic's primary healthcare institution, the State Hospital (Ospedale di Stato).

By Plane
Federico Fellini International Airport (IATA: RMI) in Rimini, Italy, is the nearest major airport, located approximately 21 km northeast of Cailungo. A taxi ride takes about 25 minutes and costs around €45–€60. Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (IATA: BLQ) is located 130 km away.
By Train
There are no railways in San Marino. The closest train station is Rimini Train Station in neighboring Italy. The Bonelli Bus (line 72) connects Rimini to the nearby town center of Borgo Maggiore, from where local taxis or short walks can reach Cailungo.
By Car / Road
Cailungo is located just off the main Superstrada (SS72) linking Rimini, Italy, to the capital of San Marino. From the City of San Marino, it is a short 4 km drive down the mountain (approx. 7 minutes). From the town center of Borgo Maggiore, it is a brief 1.5 km drive. Public bus line 3 connects the capital to Cailungo.
Cailungo's streets are steep and picturesque, and the hamlet is best explored on foot. There are no internal transit systems, but public bus lines pass through to connect Cailungo with Borgo Maggiore and the capital. For travel further afield, a private car or taxi is recommended.

Church of San Rocco — A quiet local church dedicated to Saint Roch, housing a traditional painting depicting the Virgin Mary, Child Jesus, Saint Marinus, and Saint Roch. Free admission.
Piazza Nuova — The central community square of the hamlet, serving as a hub for local social gatherings and seasonal events.
Views of Mount Titano — Excellent vantage points from the valley streets looking up at the sheer vertical cliffs and clifftop towers of the capital.
Hike the Marian Path — Walk a portion of this scenic route, which is a variant of the Cammino del Santo Marino trail, offering beautiful views of the valleys.
Attend the San Rocco Folk Festival — If visiting in mid-August, join local residents at Piazza Nuova for this annual folk festival (sagra) featuring traditional music, dancing, and local food stalls.
