Faleu
Aiga-i-le-Tai, Samoa
Why visit Faleu?
Faleu is a village on Manono Island, part of the Aiga-i-le-Tai district of Samoa. Manono is a small, car-free island in the Apolima Strait between Upolu and Savai'i. The village sits on the southeastern coast of the island and is one of four villages on Manono. Life here follows traditional Samoan rhythms centred around the church, fishing, and farming. The island is known for its walking trails, pristine beaches, and the absence of roads suitable for vehicles.
Samoa has a warm tropical climate year-round. The dry season (May to October) offers the best conditions for visiting Manono, as the sea crossings are calmer.
