Why visit Satuimalufilufi?

Satuimalufilufi is a village on the northwestern coast of Upolu island in Samoa, with a population of 747 (2016 census). The village has a unique administrative status: it is geographically situated within the Aiga-i-le-Tai district but is considered an "enclave village" belonging to the neighbouring political district of A'ana. This unusual arrangement reflects the complex traditional land tenure and boundary systems that predate modern administrative divisions.

The village sits along the coast between Mulifanua (the ferry terminal for Savai'i) and the main A'ana settlements. The name Satuimalufilufi is one of the longer place names in Samoa. The village has produced notable Samoan rugby league players, including Royce Hunt and Junior Paulo (Toa Samoa captain), reflecting the sport's importance in Samoan culture.

Samoa has a tropical climate with warm temperatures throughout the year. The dry season (May to October) is the best time to visit, while the wet season brings more humidity and heavier rainfall.
