Why visit Valenzuela?
Valenzuela is an industrial and residential city at the northern gateway of Metro Manila, bordering Bulacan province. It covers 44.6 km² with a population of about 620,000. Named after Dr. Pío Valenzuela, a leader of the Katipunan, the city was originally a cluster of fishing and farming villages before industrialization in the 1970s. Today it is a major manufacturing centre. The historic Poblacion area still preserves a 19th-century town layout centred around the Polo Church.
