Why visit Bil'in?
Bil'in is a Palestinian village in the Ramallah Governorate, located 10 km west of Ramallah near the Green Line. It gained international fame for its sustained weekly protests against the separation barrier, which resulted in a landmark 2007 International Court of Justice ruling. The village has a population of about 4,000, predominantly Muslim, with olive groves and farmland. The climate is Mediterranean: hot, dry summers and cool, rainy winters. Spring is best. The Friday afternoon market is a notable attraction.
