When is the best time to visit?

The best time to visit Gevgelija is during the late spring (May–June) and early autumn (September–October) when temperatures are mild and the natural scenery is at its most vibrant. Summers are pleasant with cooler temperatures than the lowlands, making it ideal for hiking and outdoor exploration. Winter brings snow to higher elevations, offering opportunities for winter sports in nearby mountain areas.

Gevgelija is accessible by both road and rail. The regional road network connects the municipality to nearby towns, and there are regular bus services from major cities such as Skopje, Bitola, and Ohrid. Taxis are available for local travel within the municipality.

The cuisine of Gevgelija reflects the broader culinary traditions of North Macedonia, with local variations shaped by the area's geography and agricultural production.
