Why visit Ota?

Ota is a rapidly growing industrial city in Ogun State, located on the Lagos–Abeokuta corridor. It is home to Covenant University — one of Nigeria's top private universities — and a large industrial estate hosting many manufacturing companies. Ota is the headquarters of the Awori Yoruba subgroup and is steeped in traditional heritage. The Sango (god of thunder) festival is celebrated annually. Ota also boasts the Ota Market and is a key commuter town for Lagos workers.

The nearest major airport is Murtala Muhammed International Airport (LOS) in Lagos, about 35 km south.

By Car / Road

Ota is on the Lagos–Abeokuta expressway, about 1 hour north of Lagos. Buses from Lagos and Abeokuta pass through.
