Jibia is a town and Local Government Area on Nigeria's border with Niger, about 30 km north of Katsina city. Its position has long made it a hub for cross-border trade in agricultural goods, livestock, and textiles, with Sunday the main market day drawing traders from both sides of the border. Periodic closures of the Nigeria–Niger border have disrupted this trade in recent years.
