Aba
Abia, Nigeria
Why visit Aba?
Aba is the commercial and industrial heart of Abia State, a sprawling city of about 1 million people known as "Enyimba City." It grew from a small Ngwa Igbo settlement into a manufacturing powerhouse during the post-war reconstruction era. The city is famed for the Ariaria International Market, a massive trading hub where shoes, textiles, and leather goods are produced and sold. The climate is tropical with a rainy season from April to October. Aba is chaotic, energetic, and entrepreneurial — the ultimate Nigerian market city.
