Bardaghat is a municipality in Nawalparasi (East) District, located in the Inner Terai valley on the Narayani River. It is a market and transit town with a strategic location at the junction of the Mahendra Highway and roads to central Nepal.

The climate is humid subtropical with hot summers (April–June), a monsoon (June–September), and mild winters (October–February). The best time to visit is October–March.

Bharatpur Airport (BHR) is 25 km north-east. Taxi costs Rs 1000–1500.

By Train

Bardaghat is on the Mahendra Highway (NH-01), 175 km west of Kathmandu. Buses from Kathmandu, Bharatpur, and Butwal serve the town.
