Why visit?

Oshikoto is a region in northern Namibia, named after Lake Oshikoto (also known as Lake Otjikoto). The region is known for the mining town of Tsumeb, famous for its mineral deposits and the Tsumeb Mine, one of the richest mineral sites in the world. The southern part of Etosha National Park, Namibia's premier wildlife destination, lies within Oshikoto.

When is the best time to visit?

The winter months (May to October) are best for Etosha game viewing. Summer is hot with occasional rains.
