Gornja Lastva is located about 5 km from Tivat. It is reached via a narrow, winding asphalt road leading uphill from Donja Lastva. There is no public transit, so visitors arrive by car, taxi, or by hiking uphill from Donja Lastva (about a 1-hour walk).
The village is entirely pedestrianized and must be explored on foot. The streets are steep and paved with old stones.
What are the things to do?
The Parish Church of St. Mary (Sveti Marija), dating back to the 14th century, dominates the village. Another key sight is the historic Olive Mill, which features a traditional wooden press that is still operational. The panoramic views of Tivat Bay are spectacular.
Explore the quiet stone alleys and admire the historic architecture. Visit during the summer to attend the Gornja Lastva Fiesta in August, which features traditional music, folk dances, and art exhibitions. Hike the scenic trails across the Vrmac ridge.
