Bulboaca
Anenii Noi, Moldova
Why visit Bulboaca?
Bulboaca is a small village in southeastern Anenii Noi District, roughly 35 km southeast of Chișinău and 10 km south of the district capital Anenii Noi. With a population of around 1,500, it is a quiet rural settlement that sits on the edge of Moldova's wine-growing belt, surrounded by vineyards, orchards, and sunflower fields that stretch across the Dniester plain.
In recent years Bulboaca has begun attracting attention for its emerging agritourism and wine-sector development. The village's proximity to Chișinău, its position near the Transnistrian security zone, and its unspoiled rural character make it an appealing destination for travellers seeking an alternative to the more commercial wine cellars of Cricova and Mileștii Mici. Though still well off the tourist trail, Bulboaca represents the slow shift toward rural tourism in Moldova, where vineyards, village hospitality, and agricultural traditions are being rediscovered as travel assets.
