Why visit Pantai Remis?

Pantai Remis is a coastal town in Manjung District, Perak, lying between Simpang (near Taiping) and Sitiawan along the Strait of Malacca. Founded in the late 1940s, it is a fishing town with a long sandy beach — the first of a chain of beaches stretching south toward the Damai Laut resort area — and its economy also draws on rubber, palm oil, rice, sugar cane, and fishing. It is best known to visitors for its seafood.
