Why visit Labis?

Labis is a town in the Segamat district of northern Johor, located about 30 km east of Chaah and 25 km south of Bekok. It is the largest settlement in the eastern part of the Segamat district and serves as the local administrative and commercial centre for the surrounding palm oil and rubber estates. The town has a diverse population of Malays and Chinese, with a small old town of pre-war shophouses that has preserved some character. Labis is known for its hot springs, which attract local visitors, and as a stop on the KTM railway line. It is one of the gateways for approaching the Endau-Rompin National Park from the southwest.
