Asselborn
Clervaux, Luxembourg
Why visit Asselborn?
Asselborn is a village of around 460 residents in the commune of Wincrange, Clervaux canton, in Luxembourg's northern Ardennes near the German border. It was its own commune until 1978, when it merged with Boevange, Hachiville, and Oberwampach to form Wincrange — today the largest commune in Luxembourg by area. The village's position on the linguistic border has given it a bilingual, hybrid local culture blending Luxembourgish and German Ardennes traditions.
