Why visit Duris?

Duris is a village in the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate located in the Beqaa Valley near Baalbek. It is a traditional agricultural settlement with roots going back to Roman times.

The climate is Mediterranean with warm dry summers and mild wet winters. The best times to visit are spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) when temperatures are pleasant.

Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY IATA) is about 85 km west, a 1.5-hour drive.

By Car / Road

From Beirut, take the highway east to the Beqaa Valley and continue toward Baalbek. Duris is just south of Baalbek.

The village is small and walkable.
