Ngeun

Ngeun is a district in eastern Xaignabouli Province, located in a valley surrounded by forested hills. The area is rural and agricultural, with rice farming and livestock as the main economic activities. The district capital is a small settlement serving the local farming population.

The climate is tropical monsoon. The cool dry season from November to February is the most pleasant time to visit. The town is small and walkable.

The nearest airport is Luang Prabang International (LPQ), approximately 80 km east.

By Car / Road

Ngeun is accessible from Sayaboury via secondary roads heading northeast, approximately 50 km. The road is partially paved. Local transport is limited; a private vehicle is recommended.
