Mahboula

Al Aḩmadī, Kuwait

Why visit Mahboula?

Mahboula is a coastal residential suburb in Al Ahmadi Governorate, situated between Fintas to the north and Fahaheel to the south along Kuwait's Gulf Road. Its name derives from the Arabic word for "beloved," and the area has a distinctly laid-back character that appeals to families and long-term expatriate residents. Originally a small fishing and pearling settlement, Mahboula transformed with Kuwait's oil boom into a quiet bedroom community of low-rise apartment blocks and villas. The neighbourhood offers a long public beach with shallow waters, making it a popular weekend destination for local families during the cooler months. Summers are extreme, with temperatures regularly exceeding 45°C and high humidity, while the winter season (November–March) is mild and pleasant. Mahboula's compact layout places most amenities along or near the Gulf Road corridor.
