Rasoun

Rasoun is a village in 'Ajlūn Governorate, situated in the forested highlands of northern Jordan. The village is known as a starting point for the Prophet's Trail, a hiking route that connects Rasoun with the Ajloun Forest Reserve. The surrounding area is rich in pine, oak, and pistachio forests.

The climate is Mediterranean: warm dry summers and cool rainy winters. Rasoun is popular with hikers and nature lovers seeking to explore the northern Jordanian highlands away from the more touristed sites.

By Plane

Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) is approximately 120 km south. A rental car is recommended.

By Car / Road

Rasoun is accessible from Ajloun town (15–20 min) via local roads through the forest. From Amman, the journey takes 1.5–2 hours via Jerash.

The village is small and walkable. Hiking trails connect Rasoun with the Forest Reserve and other villages.
