Katsuura (勝浦) is a town in eastern Tokushima Prefecture, located on the coast of the Kii Channel. It sits across from Cape Hinomisaki in Wakayama and is known for its onsen, fishing industry, and scenic coastline. By Plane
Tokushima Awaodori Airport (TKS) is about 40 minutes away by car. Kansai International Airport (KIX) is reachable by a combination of train and ferry.
By Train
The JR Mugi Line serves Katsuura with a stop at Katsuura Station. From Tokushima station the journey takes about 30 minutes by local train.
By Car / Road
Route 55 and the Tokushima Expressway provide access from Tokushima city (about 25 minutes by car) and other parts of Shikoku.
The town is best explored by car. The center near the station and port is walkable, but the onsen areas and coastal viewpoints are spread out.
