Why visit Minori?
Minori is a small town on the Amalfi Coast at the mouth of the Regginolo (Reginna Minor) river. It preserves the largest known Roman-era ruin on the coast, the Villa Romana di Minori, a 1st-century AD seaside residence built when this stretch of coast was favored by Roman aristocracy for their villas. Minori also has a long tradition of pasta-making, once powered by mills along the river, and is known today for ndunderi, a fresh gnocchi-like pasta with roots said to trace back to Roman times. In recent decades the town has also become known for pastry, home to a well-known local pastry chef, earning it a reputation as one of the coast's sweetest stops.
