About Saba
Saba is a small coastal municipality in Colón department, Honduras, located along the Caribbean shore west of Trujillo. The town is part of the Garífuna cultural corridor and has a significant Afro-Caribbean population maintaining traditional customs, language, and cuisine. Fishing and agriculture are the primary livelihoods.
The climate is tropical maritime with temperatures averaging 27–31 °C and a rainy season from October to February. The coastline features palm-lined beaches and mangrove wetlands. Saba offers a quiet, authentic Caribbean experience away from more developed tourist areas.

By Plane
The nearest airport is Golosón International Airport (LCE) in La Ceiba, approximately 100 km to the west. Travel by road takes about 2 hours.
By Train
By Car / Road
Saba is located on the coastal highway, approximately 30 km west of Trujillo. From Trujillo, the drive takes about 40 minutes. From La Ceiba, about 2 hours (100 km). Colectivo minibuses serve the route from Trujillo for around L 40–60.
Saba is a small town walkable on foot. Mototaxis available for L 15–25.
