Orocuina is a municipality in Choluteca department, southern Honduras, located in the lowlands near the Pacific coast. The town is an agricultural centre surrounded by melon plantations, cattle ranches, and shrimp farms. The climate is tropical dry, with temperatures regularly exceeding 35 °C during the dry season (November–April).

The landscape is flat and arid during the dry season, transforming to green during the rainy months (May–October). Orocuina is a modest community serving the surrounding agricultural industry, with limited tourist infrastructure.

By Plane

The nearest airport is Toncontín International Airport (TGU) in Tegucigalpa, approximately 160 km to the north. Travel by road takes about 3 hours.

By Car / Road

Orocuina is accessible via secondary roads from Choluteca. From Choluteca, the drive takes about 40 minutes (35 km). Colectivo services connect the town with Choluteca for around L 30–50.

The town is small and walkable. Mototaxis available for L 15–25.
