Bugabira

Bugabira is a commune in Kirundo Province, Burundi, located in the central highlands at approximately 1,700 m elevation. It is a small agricultural settlement surrounded by terraced hills planted with coffee, bananas, and beans.

The climate is mild year-round. The best time to visit is during the dry season from June to August.

Bugabira is accessible by road from the provincial capital. Motorcycle taxis and minibuses connect to the main road network.

Bugabira is compact and walkable. Motorcycle taxis are available for short trips.

Basic food stalls serve beans, rice, grilled bananas, and occasionally grilled meat. A meal costs FBu 2,000–4,000.
