Gisagara

Gisagara is a commune in Cankuzo Province, eastern Burundi, situated along the upper reaches of the Ruvubu River near the Tanzanian border. The area is predominantly rural, with farming as the main livelihood. The landscape is characterized by river valleys, wooded hills, and small agricultural plots.

The commune is remote and receives very few visitors. The Ruvubu River forms part of the border with Tanzania, and the river valley provides important habitat for wildlife. The area is quiet and undeveloped.
