Beloslav

Beloslav is a small industrial town in Varna Province, about 19 km west of central Varna, sitting along the eastern edge of Lake Beloslav — a liman connected by a navigable canal to Lake Varna and, from there, to the Black Sea. Because the canal opened the once-freshwater lake to the sea, its water is now brackish. Beloslav is a transportation and industrial hub of national significance, forming part of the Varna–Devnya Industrial Complex together with the city of Varna and the nearby town of Devnya; the complex hosts some of Bulgaria's largest chemical, thermal-power, and manufacturing facilities, and Beloslav's economy and townscape are shaped by that heavy industry and the port/canal traffic that serves it, rather than by seaside tourism. It is not a beach resort town — its interest for visitors is mostly as a waypoint on the Varna–Devnya road and rail corridor and as a viewpoint onto the lake and canal.

Beloslav sits on the main road and rail line between Varna and Devnya, about 19 km from Varna. It is reachable by car, by regional train (the town has its own railway station), or by bus from Varna.

The town centre is compact and walkable, close to the lake and canal.

The main visual draw is Lake Beloslav itself and the shipping canal linking it to Lake Varna, with industrial and port activity visible along the shore.

Watching canal and lake shipping traffic is the town's most documented low-key activity for visitors passing through.
