About Bouillon
Bouillon is a picturesque town in the Belgian province of Luxembourg, Wallonia, best known for its spectacular medieval castle — the oldest and largest in Belgium. The town lies in a steep valley carved by the Semois River, surrounded by the forested hills of the Ardennes. Bouillon was the seat of the powerful Dukes of Bouillon and was a key stronghold during the Crusades.
The town's dramatic setting, with the castle perched on a rocky outcrop above the meandering river, makes it one of the most photographed destinations in Belgium. Bouillon is a popular base for hiking, kayaking on the Semois, and exploring the Ardennes. The climate is continental, with warm summers and cold winters. The best times to visit are from April to October.
