Dokshytsy

Dokshytsy (Докшыцы) is a small town of about 6,500 people in Viciebskaja voblasć, located on the Berezina River. First mentioned in 1407, it was a private town of various noble families under the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. The town has a modest but historic centre with a 19th-century church and a quiet, rural atmosphere. The Berezina River, which rises nearby, is a major Belarusian waterway. The climate is continental: warm summers (17–23°C) and cold winters (−5 to −10°C).

Minsk National Airport (MSQ) is about 150 km south. Taxi costs BYN 170–200 (2 hr).

By Train

Dokshytsy has no railway station. The nearest station is in Parafyanovo (15 km east) on the Minsk–Polatsk line, with bus connections.

By Car / Road

From Minsk, take the P3 north via Pleshchenitsy — about 120 km (1.5 hr). Roads are fair. Buses from Minsk run 2–3 times daily (2.5 hr, BYN 10).

The town is walkable.
