Shelli

Shelli is a village in Ağdam Rayon in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. Situated on the agricultural lowlands of the rayon, it is a small farming community whose residents cultivate cotton, grain, and vegetables. The village has a quiet, rural character typical of the Azerbaijani interior.

The terrain is flat, with irrigated farmland extending in all directions. The climate is semi-arid continental with hot summers (30–37 °C) and cool winters (0–8 °C). Spring and autumn are the most pleasant seasons.

Shelli has no tourist infrastructure and is of interest primarily to travellers exploring the Karabakh region's rural hinterland.

No railway station in Shelli. The nearest rail is in Yevlax (55 km north). From Yevlax, take a taxi or minibus to Ağcabədi, then continue to Shelli via local roads.

By Car / Road

From Baku, take the M2 to Yevlax (250 km), then south through Ağcabədi (40 km). Shelli is reached via local roads from the Ağdam rayon area. Roads are paved but narrow. From Ganja, approximately 105 km south via Yevlax (1.5–2 hours).

The village is small and walkable. No local transport. Arrange a taxi from Ağcabədi for access.
