By Plane
The nearest airport is Port Macquarie Airport (PQQ), about 75 km south. Coffs Harbour Airport (CFS) is approximately 100 km north. Both have regular flights from Sydney and other capitals.
By Train
The nearest railway station is at Kempsey, approximately 30 km inland, on the NSW TrainLink North Coast line. A connecting taxi or bus service is needed to reach South West Rocks.
By Car / Road
South West Rocks is accessible via the Pacific Highway (A1), turning off at the Kempsey exit and following signs for another 30 km. Driving from Sydney takes about 4.5 hours. From Brisbane, allow about 5 hours.
A car is the most convenient way to get around South West Rocks. The town itself is relatively compact and walkable, especially the beachfront area. Local taxi services are available. Bicycles are a good option for short trips.

Trial Bay Gaol — A dramatic historic prison built in the 1880s on the headland at Arakoon. It was used as an internment camp for German prisoners during World War I. Offers guided tours with spectacular ocean views.
