Quang Trach
Quảng Bình, Viet Nam
Why visit Quang Trach?
Quảng Trạch is a district (huyện) in northern Quảng Bình province, situated along the coast of the South China Sea. The district lies just north of the Gianh River and is bounded by Hà Tĩnh province to the north. Quảng Trạch is primarily an agricultural and fishing region, with a long coastline of beaches, sand dunes, and fishing villages.
The district includes several coastal communes and the town of Ba Đồn, which recently split off to form an independent district-level town (Ba Don). Quảng Trạch is known for its sandy coastline, which is quieter and less developed than beaches further south. The climate is typical of north-central Vietnam: hot and humid from May to August, with a rainy season peaking from September to November. The best time to visit is from February to April when the weather is mild and dry.
