Why visit Cave City?

Cave City is a small city in Kentucky's Caves and Lakes region and the main gateway to Mammoth Cave National Park. Its economy is largely based on tourism related to the national park, and the town lives up to its name with numerous caves and attractions in the surrounding area. Located off Exit 53 on I-65, about halfway between Louisville and Nashville, Cave City is a convenient stop for travelers exploring Kentucky's underground wonders.

The city enjoys a moderate climate typical of south-central Kentucky, with warm summers and mild winters. Its position along I-65 makes it an easy detour for road-trippers, and the abundance of family-friendly attractions — caves, dinosaur exhibits, amusement parks, and water activities — makes it popular with families. The nearby Mammoth Cave National Park, just 15 minutes away, is the main draw.
