Why visit Fayetteville?

Fayetteville is a city of approximately 87,000 people in the Ozarks region of Northwest Arkansas. It is home to the main campus of the University of Arkansas and has many characteristics of a college town, including numerous bars, restaurants, and specialty stores. Fayetteville serves as a regional hub for live music and performances and is part of the booming Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers-Bentonville metropolitan area.

The city's core area centers around the historic downtown square and Dickson Street, which runs between Highway 71B (College Avenue) and the University of Arkansas campus. Dickson Street is the "main drag" for restaurants and bars. The downtown area, along with the University of Arkansas campus and historic neighborhoods, is quite walkable. The rest of town is less accessible except by car, though bus service is available.

Summers are warm and humid, with temperatures in the 80s and 90s°F. Spring and fall are the most pleasant seasons. Winters are mild with occasional cold snaps.
