About Duragan

Durağan is a district town in Sinop Province, located about 100 km southeast of Sinop city in the Gökırmak River valley. With a population of around 8,000, it is an agricultural centre known for rice cultivation. The town has a quiet rural character.

The climate is transitional with warm summers and cold winters. Spring and autumn are the best visiting seasons.

By Plane

Sinop Airport (ICQ, 100 km northwest) or Kastamonu Airport (KFS, 120 km west).

By Car / Road

Durağan is on the road between Boyabat and Vezirköprü. Minibuses connect to Boyabat (30 min) and Samsun (2 hr).

The town is walkable.
