Beysehir Lake National Park

Konya, Turkey

Why visit Beysehir Lake National Park?

Beyşehir Lake National Park (Beyşehir Gölü Milli Parkı) was established in 1993 and covers about 86,855 hectares across the Beyşehir and Hüyük districts of Konya Province, at an elevation of roughly 1,100 m. It encompasses Lake Beyşehir — Turkey's largest freshwater lake and third-largest lake overall — along with the surrounding wetlands, reed beds, forests and mountains. The lake's reed beds and shallows are an important stopover and wintering ground for waterfowl, and the park is a base for hiking, boating and wildlife viewing.
