Malabar

Arima, Trinidad and Tobago

Why visit Malabar?

Malabar is a residential community located in the borough of Arima in northeastern Trinidad. Situated just east of Arima's town centre, it is a predominantly suburban neighbourhood with a mix of housing developments, small shops, and easy access to the surrounding Northern Range foothills. The area is primarily a residential extension of Arima rather than a tourist destination in its own right, but it serves as a convenient base for exploring the eastern Trinidad corridor.

The community grew as Arima expanded outward from its historic centre, absorbing former agricultural land. Today Malabar is home to a mix of long-standing Trinbagonian families and newer residents attracted by relatively affordable housing within commuting distance of Port of Spain and the east-west corridor.
