Why visit Ober??geri?

Oberägeri is a lakeside municipality in the canton of Zug, situated on the northern shore of Lake Ägeri (Ägerisee) at an altitude of 724 metres. Positioned in the pre-Alpine hills between Mount Zugerberg and the Raten Pass, the village provides a quiet base for watersports, mountain hiking, and regional history.

The area is known across Switzerland for the 1315 Battle of Morgarten, fought on the southeastern shore of the lake. Today, visitors travel here for the scenic shoreline, well-maintained trail networks, and the lakefront swimming and thermal facilities.

The local climate is subalpine with distinct seasonal changes. Summers bring daytime temperatures between 20°C and 26°C with moderate rainfall, while winters are cold, with temperatures averaging between -3°C and 4°C, regular frost, and snowfall on surrounding hills.
