Bukit Timah is a planning area in central Singapore, famous for the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve — home to Singapore's highest natural point at 164 m. The name means "tin hill" in Malay. Changi Airport (SIN) is 22 km east, 30 min taxi ($30-38). MRT: take the Circle Line from the airport to Botanic Gardens, then the Downtown Line to Beauty World (DT5) — 45 min.
By Train
Beauty World MRT (DT5) is on the Downtown Line, 15 min from Bugis and 10 min from Botanic Gardens. The old Bukit Timah Railway Station is a heritage site.
By Car / Road
Accessible via the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) and Dunearn Road. Parking at the Bukit Timah Nature Reserve ($1/h) and Beauty World Centre.
Buses (e.g., 67, 75, 77, 170, 173, 184, 852, 961) run along Dunearn and Upper Bukit Timah Roads. Taxis and ride-hailing are popular due to the hilly terrain.

Bukit Timah Nature Reserve (177 Hindhede Drive) — Singapore's largest primary rainforest reserve, containing 164-m Bukit Timah Hill. Over 840 plant species and 500 animal species. Daily 7AM-7PM. Free.
Bukit Timah Railway Station — The historic KTM railway station, now a conserved heritage site with a café.
Former Ford Factory — WWII museum at the site of the British surrender to Japan. Daily 9AM-5.30PM. Free.
Hindhede Quarry — A scenic former granite quarry within the nature reserve.
Beauty World Centre — A retro shopping centre with a 4-storey food court.
Hike to the summit of Bukit Timah Hill (164m, the highest point in Singapore) — 4 trails of varying difficulty.
Rock climb at the Hindhede Quarry climbing wall.
Walk the Rail Corridor — A 24-km former railway line turned green corridor.
Visit the Bukit Timah Nature Education Centre — Hands-on exhibits. Free.
