Szczawnica is a spa town in Małopolskie Province in the mountains of southern Poland.

By Train

Buses run from Kraków every two hours, taking 2 hr 30 min to Szczawnica. Usually a change in Nowy Targ will be necessary. From Nowy Targ buses cost approximately 8 zł one way.

Alternatively you can get by train to Nowy Sącz or Nowy Targ and then by bus to Szczawnica.

The town centre of Szczawnica is compact and walkable. Local buses connect the main districts and nearby attractions. Taxis are available from the train station.

Visit the nearby castles in Niedzica and Czorsztyn.

Hike to Slovakia via the trail through the National Park to Lesnica.
