The nearest airport is Laguindingan International Airport (CGY), about 3 hours north by bus.
By land
Buses and vans connect Malaybalay to Cagayan de Oro (3 hours north), Valencia (30 minutes south), Davao (5–6 hours east), and other Bukidnon towns. The bus terminal is in the city centre.
Tricycles and jeepneys serve the city. For outlying attractions, hire a habal-habal.
