Ypané is a city in Central department, located on the eastern shore of Lake Ypacaraí. Silvio Pettirossi International Airport (ASU) is about 15 km northwest.

Ypané is about 18 km southeast of central Asunción via Route PY02 and local roads (30 min). Buses run from Asunción every 20 min (GS.4,000–5,000, 45 min).
