Changuinola

A low key town that you cross through to get to Bocas del Toro from Costa Rica. A nice town, but does not feel particularly safe at night. During the day it is fine. The best and cheapest clothes ever. Make sure to pack light so you can pick up some clothes from this town. It has a really interesting vibe, in a good way. Some sweet local restaurants.

Changuinola can be reached by road from the provincial capital. Local buses and shared taxis provide regular service. From Panama City, the journey takes several hours by bus or car.

The area is compact enough to explore on foot. Local taxis and moto-taxis are available for longer distances.
