Why visit?

Tillabéri is a region in western Niger, stretching along the Niger River and bordering Mali and Burkina Faso. The regional capital is Tillabéri. The Niger River valley provides fertile agricultural land, while the western areas are increasingly insecure due to jihadist groups operating across the Mali and Burkina Faso borders. The region includes W National Park, a Unesco World Heritage Site shared with Burkina Faso and Benin.

When is the best time to visit?

The dry season (November–February) is safest and most comfortable. The rainy season (June–September) brings floods in the river valley.

Tell us your dates and we'll shape a Tillabéri route around them.
