Ronave
Ewa, Nauru
Why visit Ronave?
Ronave is a small settlement within the Ewa district on the northern coast of Nauru. One of the island's less well-known populated places, Ronave is a quiet residential community that reflects the traditional, slow-paced lifestyle of Nauru's rural areas. The settlement lies inland from the ring road, surrounded by the vegetation that characterises parts of the northern coast.
Ronave offers visitors a genuine, unvarnished look at everyday life in one of the world's least-visited countries. There are no tourist facilities or attractions in the settlement itself — its appeal lies in its authenticity and tranquility. Nauru's tropical climate means warm weather year-round, with the drier months from March to October offering the most comfortable conditions.
