Overview

Ohangwena is a region in northern Namibia on the border with Angola, characterised by flat plains and oshana floodplains. It is one of the most densely populated regions, with strong agricultural traditions. The region was created in 1996 when the former Ovambo Region was subdivided.

When to Visit

The dry season (May to October) is best. The rainy season transforms the plains.

Tell us your dates and we'll shape a Ohangwena route around them.
